SPHEROS is a particle-based code, which stands on SPH and erosion. The code is developed at LMH to simulate free-surface flows in hydraulic machines and specifically silt erosion phenomena occurring in Pelton turbines.
The main features of SPHEROS are:
- Massively parallel C++ programming
- Octree neighbor search
- Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) support
- Discrete Element Method (DEM) support
- Finite Particle Method (FPM) kernel correction
Weak scaling test on CADMOS Blue Gene/P has been performed (See Figure below).
