Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) is a promising tool to simulate the complex free surface flows. Outputs of the SPH solvers are always a set of particles including flow properties. To visualize the free surface presented by these particles, some extra processes are required. The aim of this project is to establish a framework including the required processes for converting particle data to free-surface images efficiently.

The student will use particle data generated by SPHEROS, the LMH in-house SPH code and will test different surface reconstruction schemes available in the literature. For this purpose, he will need basic knowledge of C++ programming. Then, by using Paraview, he will extract free surface and make simple scripts to render the free surface and generate high quality images.
